Shift Details

• Night shift
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Patient ratio: 1:6

Job Description

• Specialty: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry unit
• Must complete either:

  • 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks, or
  • 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks
• Weekend shifts as needed
• Block scheduling not accommodated
• Local candidates not accepted (must live outside a 75-mile radius)
• Pending licenses accepted if obtained before start date
• Must pass arrhythmia and medication tests on the first day of orientation
• May require shaving to pass fit testing onsite; failure to pass fit test results in contract cancellation
• Attendance policy: Missing more than two shifts without reasonable explanation during the 13-week contract may lead to contract review and possible cancellation

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
