Job Opportunity: Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse

Job Details

Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 6:30 PM)
Weekend/Holiday Requirements: No weekends or holidays required
Work Setting: Outpatient oncology clinic with floating among clinics; nurses are partnered with specific tumor groups seeing patients on designated days
Charting System: EPIC
Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
Minimum 1 year of Hematology/Oncology nursing experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
IV Certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience in an outpatient setting

Additional Requirements & Compliance

Background Checks:
- Criminal background check within 30 days of start, including alias and multi-level searches
- Must have no open cases or pending charges
Drug Screening: Negative 10-panel urine drug screen within 30 days of start
Health Documents:
- Physical exam within the last 12 months confirming ability to perform essential job functions and free of communicable disease
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility protocol
- Immunizations and titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap as required
- Annual influenza vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
Respiratory Medical Clearance: Required prior to start, including on-site fit testing (annual update required)
Competency Exams:
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam within 12 months of start
- Pass/fail testing including EKG and IV Therapy/Infusion exams (first attempt within 72 hours of signing)
References: Two references within the last 2 years, including at least one managerial reference
Work History: Employment application or resume with 7 years of work history; New Jersey candidates require verification of at least 1 year prior to start with no gaps over 30 days
Skills Checklist: Must be completed and updated annually

Floating: Nurses will float among clinics but are assigned to specific tumor groups
Documentation: Government-issued photo ID and driver's license required within 48 hours of signing
