Job Description

• CRT or RRT accepted.
• Must have 2 years of experience.
• NBRC and BLS certifications required at the time of submission.
• Must have Ohio RRT license in hand.

Certifications

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA only, required for RRT - Emergency Department)
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA only, required for all candidates; AHA RQI certs acceptable, but non-RQI preferred)
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA only, required for RRT-NICU)
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (AHA/AAP only, required for RRT-NICU)
• Tech Cert Verification - National (CRT and RRT candidates must have a current NBRC)
• HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement - Required, must be updated annually.
• State License Verification - Ohio RRT License required.

Health Documents

• Physical Exam - Pre-employment physical within a year of start.
• Fit Mask - Required within 12 months of start, must be updated annually.
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray - Required within 6 months of start.
• Drug Testing - Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine drug screen required within 12 months of start.
• Flu Vaccine - Required during flu season (10/31-3/31) or medical/religious exemption documentation.

Background and History

• Criminal Background Check - Required prior to start of assignment.
• References - Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required.
• Employment Application - Must include 3 years prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting.
• Skills Checklist - Unit specific skills checklist required, must be updated annually.
• Transcript/Diploma - Required for all candidates.
• Fingerprinting - Required within 12 months of start.

Additional Information

• All RTO and scheduling requests need to be communicated during submission and interview.
• Candidates must carry a valid government-issued photo ID while on assignment.
• Unit specific competency exam required within 12 months of start, must be updated annually.
• Online training modules must be completed prior to start, typically taking 4-5 hours.
