MICU RN

Overview

• 36 hours, nights, every other weekend
• Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units
• 13-week contract
• 20-bed MICU in a Level III Trauma Center
• Adult ICU role with Med Surg floating

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg experience

Preferred

• MICU experience

Unit Details

• 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU
• Patient population includes adult patients with substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24 hours/day

Schedule

• Shift: 19:00 - 07:30
• Night shift does not rotate
• Day positions may rotate between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a when needed
