Job Details
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts (09:00 - 19:30)
- Call: Rotating call during weekdays and weekends based on department needs
- Holiday: Call hours required
- Floating: May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience
- Experience with robotic surgery and scrub nurse duties is helpful
- Prior travel experience required
- EPIC system experience required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic system
Documentation & Onboarding Requirements
- Professional documents required for submission:
- Resume/Profile
- Two professional references
- Current driver’s license or state ID (must not be expired and address must match)
- License/certificate verification and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
- Onboarding documents required prior to or at start:
- Signed assignment agreement
- Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no filters)
- Specialty exam, core competencies, EKG exam, Epic test-out results
- Color vision test
- Health and immunization records
- Criminal background check including SSN trace, OIG, National Sex Offender, EPLS
- Skills checklist updated annually
- Education verification relevant to clinical work (within 90 days of start)
- Confirmation of assignment and employment verification
- Nursing contract worker onboarding completed onsite
- Pre-hire modules including Nova StatStrip
Additional Notes
- Only two attempts allowed for specialty and competency exams
- Some optional checklists may be required by unit leaders after onboarding
- Must maintain all certifications and health requirements updated as specified throughout assignment
This position is suited for experienced OR RNs with prior travel experience, robotic surgery exposure, and proficiency in EPIC. The role requires flexibility for rotating shifts, call duties, and potential floating within a 40-mile radius.
