Location: Williamantic, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other week / every other holiday (EOW/EOH)
On-Call: No on-call required

Job Description

• Work in the Emergency Room with focus on trauma, STEMI, stroke, Behavioral Health Unit (BHU), and related emergency care.
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system (preferred).

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with ED experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Certifications required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Experience in stroke care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.

Additional Information

• Shift length is 36 hours per night shift.
• Experience in trauma, STEMI, stroke, and behavioral health is valued.
