Cardiovascular Sonographer

Location: Corbin, Kentucky
Schedule: 36 hours/week, 8 hours/day
Contract length: 13 weeks

Overview

This role provides sonography services to support diagnosis, including producing images for interpretation by a radiologist, cardiologist, or licensed independent practitioner. The position also involves patient verification, documentation, image archiving, and coordination with clinical teams.

Required Qualifications

• Vascular Technologist (1 year of experience)
• Vascular Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS
• CCI or ARDMS or ARRT (S)
• Cardiac Sonographer experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years in Special Imaging in Ultrasound

Key Responsibilities

• Produce quality images for review and interpretation
• Verify patient identity, orders, and history
• Document patient care incidents and time-out procedures
• Follow department protocol for exams
• Send images to tele-radiology after hours as instructed
• Support image archiving and PACS-related workflow
• Report equipment malfunctions and environmental safety concerns
• Assist with equipment maintenance coordination and EHR-related changes
