MRI Tech Position - Louisville, Kentucky
Job Summary
- Utilize imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce and retain high-quality diagnostic MRI images that meet or exceed standards.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, image quality, patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, infection control, and quality control.
- Prepare patients for procedures, provide education, and address questions or concerns with an age-appropriate approach.
- Collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and determine if additional imaging is needed.
- Apply radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Oversee and train students providing patient care as part of their training.
Work Schedule
- Thursday, Friday, Saturday shifts (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
- 4 on-call shifts per month
- 1 Sunday call shift per month
- Total hours per week: 36
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
- Experience as a Mammography Technologist, including mammograms
Note: Contract length is 14 weeks.
