Perform all nursing responsibilities specific to the cardiovascular medical-surgical unit.
Implement procedures and theories related to cardiovascular medical-surgical nursing.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate plans of care based on patient and family needs.
Implement and modify plans of care through continuous evaluation.
Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents.
Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and provide constructive feedback.
Identify personal learning needs and pursue professional development.
Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
Provide direct care to cardiovascular medical-surgical patients, including post-operative care for CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Conduct hourly rounding on patients.
Proactively assist internal and external customers.

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
Telemetry experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
