Job Summary

• Perform CT scanning procedures with professionalism and service excellence.
• Obtain and prepare necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies according to protocols.
• Maintain sterility of field and instruments.
• Prepare requisitions accurately.
• Communicate with patients and families before, during, and after procedures to alleviate anxiety while maintaining privacy and dignity.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and respect patient privacy.
• Verify patient identification according to policy.
• Monitor patient condition before and after contrast injections; report sudden changes to nursing staff and Radiologist.
• Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history.
• Initiate emergency response if complications arise.
• Maintain adequate linen, contrast media, and biopsy/drainage supplies in scanning rooms.
• Adhere to room assignments and assist in maintaining storeroom and inventory.
• Participate in daily inventory, stocking, cleaning of equipment, and notify lead of expired or malfunctioning equipment or medications.
• When assigned as Point staff, triage procedures, coordinate emergency and unscheduled requests, assign staff for efficient workflow, and communicate patient status across departments.
• Assist in routine procedures, assess patient ability to tolerate contrast, and screen for allergies or medication incompatibilities.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of CT unit and work area.
• Maintain QA/QC requirements per daily, monthly, and ACR specifications.
• Recognize and report unusual equipment conditions or malfunctions.
• Follow venipuncture and power injector protocols.
• For urgent cases (e.g., Code Grey, Trauma), acquire, process, send, and verify images immediately per protocol, notifying the Radiologist accordingly.
• Notify Radiologist of any unusual findings to ensure optimal patient care.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks

Shift

• Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with on-call duties included

Required Qualifications

• Valid license as a CT Technologist (specific license type not stated but must be appropriate for CT technology)
• No explicit years of experience or prior travel experience required
