Registered Nurse (RN) - OR CWR

Role Summary

Primarily responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. Also responsible for assigning and evaluating the work of non-nursing direct care providers assigned to the operating room.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Ability to scrub in operating room procedures
• Ability to circulate endovascular procedures
• Ability to circulate spine procedures
• Ability to circulate neuro procedures
• Ability to circulate ortho procedures
• Ortho Trauma experience

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• ACLS-AHA
• PALS
• Level I trauma experience
• Able to scrub

Clinical Duties / Scope

• Must be able to circulate endovascular, spine, neuro, ortho, and ortho trauma procedures
• Float requirement: to ASC as needed
• On-call requirement after 90 days
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required as needed

Schedule

• 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• 3 x 12
• 36 hours per week

• Scrubs will be provided
