Job Details
- Specialty: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Work Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- One schedule is Monday to Friday, the other Friday to Monday
- Work Setting: Rotational coverage across all units including ER and Mother/Baby
- Patient Ratio: 1 Social Worker to 8 patients
- EMR Systems: Experience required with EPIC and MIDAS
- Typical Duties:
- Assess social situations and needs, develop care plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team rounds for discharge planning
- Attire: Scrubs or business casual
- On-Call: None
- Weekend Coverage: Occasional, rarely required
Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or equivalent
- License: Active Social Worker license in Alaska
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in LMSW specialty
- Additional:
- Must be an independent starter with creativity and willingness to consult other professionals
- Must have secured housing and transportation prior to assignment
- Familiarity with Alaska’s unique social issues is important
