Physical Therapist Job Opportunity - Kingman, Arizona
Position Overview
- Provide a full range of Occupational Therapy services including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Perform patient evaluations or screens and develop individualized Plans of Care with functional goals.
- Deliver appropriate therapeutic interventions and evaluate patient responses, modifying plans as needed.
- Document patient care progress and continuing treatment needs accurately and completely.
- Educate patients and families to help achieve therapy goals.
- Maintain a professional image and adhere to attendance policies.
- Participate in orientation of new staff, continuing education, staff meetings, and client relations activities.
- Assist with Occupational Therapy and Assistant student programs.
- Ensure billing is completed accurately and justified by documentation by the end of each shift.
- Meet or exceed department standards for productivity and patient satisfaction.
- Follow all relevant policies, rules, and regulations including those from the Arizona State Board of Occupational Therapy and Medicare.
Work Schedule
- Contract length: 16 weeks
- Shift: Days
- Hours per day: 10
- Hours per week: 40
- Orientation: 12 hours of non-billable orientation (guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation)
- Call-off policy: Up to one shift may be canceled every two weeks
- Local candidates are not accepted; 50-mile radius restriction applies
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license through the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy
- BLS and AED certification through the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience working with adult and geriatric populations in Inpatient (IP) and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience serving people with physical disabilities
Physical and Exposure Requirements
- Ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crouch, and communicate effectively to provide therapeutic interventions
- Exposure Category II: Possible but not routine exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues
Additional Notes
- COVID-19 vaccination is required
- If the OT license is not in hand at application, the tentative start date will be set 4 weeks out to allow for licensing processing; earlier compliance may allow an earlier start date
