Job Opportunity: CT Technologist
Location: Salem, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 1800-0630 shift
- Outpatient focus
- Must have outpatient experience and IV skills
- Experience with GE and Toshiba/Canon CT machines required
- EPIC experience preferred
- Perform diagnostic quality CT procedures safely, following ARRT guidelines
Required Qualifications
Education
- Graduate from an imaging technology program approved by licensing bodies
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Oregon
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography and CT
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 90 days of hire
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in an outpatient setting
- Proficient IV skills
- Experience with GE Healthcare, Toshiba, and Canon CT equipment
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Required Documents & Checks
- Clear copy of valid driver’s license, passport, or state ID
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start (7-year search)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and ongoing
- Education verification (transcript or diploma acceptable)
- Physical exam within one year of start
- Drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tdap vaccine or facility-specific declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (not required for CT techs)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B documentation or declination
- Flu vaccine or signed declination (year-round requirement)
- Fit mask testing to be completed onsite within the first week of starting (not required for outpatient CT techs)
Additional Requirements
- Competency exams with passing scores as required
- Badge photo with white background submitted at least 8 days prior to start
- Completion of required HealthStream modules by due date
- References: 2 references within last 2 years showing 1 year in comparable specialty; at least one supervisory reference within last 12 months
