Job Opportunity: CT Scan Tech
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- On-call: Yes, rotation with staff
- Floating: Required within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities
- Daily Caseload: Varies per shift and location
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Minimum 6 months experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT RT (R) (CT) certification
- SCRQSA (R) (CT) certification
- Experience with Siemens equipment
Additional Requirements
- Radiation Badge: Required for all Radiology/Cardiology travelers (except MRI Techs, Mammography Techs, Pediatric Echo Techs, Ultrasound Techs)
- Background Checks:
- Annual background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Includes SSN trace, statewide, national criminal, sex offender registry, and other required searches
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Fit test for N95 mask within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually
- Immunizations and titers including Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
- 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- Competency Exams: Required as applicable, including medication/pharmacology competency
- Photo for Badge: Clear, passport-style photo with solid light background, frontal view, business casual attire
Orientation & Facility Specifics
- Completion of orientation modules prior to start is mandatory (approx. 2 hours)
- First Day Instructions (FDI) and login info will be provided after clearance
- COVID vaccination records preferred but not required; declination form must be completed if not vaccinated
- Parking available with nominal cost for nights and weekends
Notes
- Radius rule applies: 60 miles
- Locals may be accepted on a case-by-case basis
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- All required documents and certifications must be current and valid at start date (no certifications expiring within 30 days of start accepted)
