Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry
• Experience Required: Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a permanent position prior to travel assignment
• License: Must have a permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand
• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • Willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start
• References: One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required to qualify for submission. Charge RN references accepted.

Required Qualifications & Compliance

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1.5 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

• Candidates must complete all required documentation and certifications prior to start
• Candidates with gaps in employment or returning to the facility may have specific requirements regarding references, physical exams, and onboarding modules
• Baseline competency exams in medication administration and ECG interpretation are required at orientation with minimum passing scores
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and procedures related to safety and competency
