Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

• Work in a Medical Telemetry Oncology Unit
• Administer chemotherapies and cardiac GTTs (limited titration)
• Utilize Nurse Telemetry Driven Protocols to assist with patient throughput
• Experience with cardiac interventional procedures including TAVR, Mitral Clips, Watchman, Lead Extraction, complex PCI Angiogram, dysrhythmias, vascular procedures, and hemodialysis
• Trauma Level 1 and Level 2 experience preferred
• Use of EPIC electronic health record system
• No block schedule requests allowed
• Maximum 5 days return to office (RTO) to be considered

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
• Experience working with Level 1 and Level 2 trauma patients
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Background check covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including SSN trace and nationwide sex offender search
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Immunizations and titers required or declinations accepted for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap highly preferred)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, proof of series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (QGold, T-SPOT, or 2 PPDs)
• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Annual flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required year-round

Additional Requirements

• No less than two satisfactory references from previous employers within the last year, including evaluation of clinical competency and reliability (references must be from manager, supervisor, or charge RN)
• Copy of employment application required
• Completion of facility-specific modules and compliance forms after orientation
• Review and sign facility policies including code of conduct, confidentiality, appearance/dress code, internet usage agreement, and fraud/waste/abuse training (annual)
• State-specific background checks and court searches as required by Washington state regulations

Notes

• Candidates must be telemetry certified RNs with experience administering chemotherapies
• Experience with trauma and cardiac interventional procedures is highly valued
• Prior travel experience is mandatory for consideration
• No block scheduling allowed; must be able to return to work within 5 days if requested
