Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech
Location: Pueblo, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM
- Support areas: Operating Room (OR), Inpatient (IP), Emergency Department (ED), Outpatient (OP) volume
- On-call requirement: Yes, 3-4 call shifts per month
- Weekend shifts: Not required
- Must be able to work independently
- Level 2 trauma and OR experience required
- Experience with C-arms and portable X-ray units preferred
- Charting system: Epic preferred
- Equipment used: GE, OR ARM, PACS
- Scrubs color: Grey
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technician, with experience within the last year
- ARRT (R) certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
Required Documentation & Compliance
- I9 or attestation
- Driver’s License/State ID (clear copies front/back)
- Background checks including 7-year history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings
- Education verification or transcript/diploma acceptable
- Physical exam within 1 year, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA
- Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (specific mask types required)
- Immunizations and titers: TDAP, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu seasonal vaccination (or exemption)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Drug testing within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Color Blind Exam (Ishihara exam required prior to start)
- COVID vaccine proof or signed declination accepted
Competency Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (updated annually)
- Competency exams including Core Parts I, II, III, OSHA, Dysrhythmia/EKG (updated annually)
Additional Requirements
- References: 2 references from the last 2 years, including one from the last year, from charge RN, manager, or supervisor
- Employment history verification for the last 3 years, with explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Skills checklist updated annually
- Colorado CAPS check results within 60 days of start
Special Notes
- First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
- Must be comfortable with on-call shifts and working independently in a trauma and OR environment
