Job Description
- Work in a typical Emergency Department setting with adult and pediatric patients.
- Patient care areas include Ambulance Triage, ED Holding, Lobby Triage, with a total of 40 beds (11 hallway beds and 29 regular beds).
- Responsibilities include:
- Breathing treatments
- Chest tube setup and care
- CPAP/BiPAP management
- Procedure sedation and Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI) drugs
- Tracheostomy care and ventilator management
- Blood and blood product administration
- Cardioversion and defibrillation
- Use of cooling/warming blankets
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)/Dialysis
- Obtaining 12 Lead EKGs
- Use of rapid infuser devices
- Float required to all facilities within the system.
- Work schedule: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM).
- Every other weekend required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Certifications required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
