Job Opportunity: ER Registered Nurse

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a typical Emergency Department setting with adult and pediatric patients.
• Patient care areas include Ambulance Triage, ED Holding, Lobby Triage, with a total of 40 beds (11 hallway beds and 29 regular beds).
• Responsibilities include:

  • Breathing treatments
  • Chest tube setup and care
  • CPAP/BiPAP management
  • Procedure sedation and Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI) drugs
  • Tracheostomy care and ventilator management
  • Blood and blood product administration
  • Cardioversion and defibrillation
  • Use of cooling/warming blankets
  • Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)/Dialysis
  • Obtaining 12 Lead EKGs
  • Use of rapid infuser devices
• Float required to all facilities within the system.
• Work schedule: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM).
• Every other weekend required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Certifications required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
