Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Saint Cloud, Minnesota

Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Schedule Details: Every 3rd weekend required; no on-call duties

Charting System: Epic (experience preferred)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Minnesota (pending acceptable if obtained by start date)
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Care Practitioner experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with Pediatric patients
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Accepts first-time travel therapists (no prior travel experience required)
• Must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA required for RRT
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – required for NICU and related areas

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Criminal background check within 1 year of start date, including:

  • 7-year search
  • Social Security trace
  • County and sex offender checks
  • Nationwide and international searches if applicable
• GSA/SAM and OIG excluded provider checks required
• Primary source verification of state license required
• Third-party education verification required (diploma acceptable with proof of verification attempts)
• Minnesota DHS NetStudy fingerprint clearance mandatory before start; candidates cannot begin with fingerprints pending unless approved with a “more time needed” letter
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Fit mask test required (N95 options: Halyard Fluid Shield or 3M 1860)
• Tdap vaccination required (no religious declinations accepted)
• TB screening per Minnesota state guidelines (2-step PPD or equivalent testing within 90 days)
• Immunization or positive titer proof required for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (vaccination, positive titer, or declination accepted)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required annually (mask required if declined)
• Drug testing (9-panel) within 1 year of start date required

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references from recent employers within the last 2 years
• Skills checklist required prior to start
• Candidate must complete Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint Questionnaire immediately after signing contract
• Candidate must complete facility-specific education modules during orientation (approx. 16 hours)
• Candidate must sign confidentiality agreement prior to start
• Photo for badge required (grey background, no selfies, JPG format)
• Dress code: Dove Gray scrubs for RRTs
• Candidates must return badges to manager on last day of assignment

Notes

• Epic experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Candidates must be prepared to travel and live at least 50 miles from the facility
• No prior travel contract experience required for this position
• Fingerprinting and background clearance processes are strictly enforced by Minnesota state law and facility policy
