Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry)

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
• Must have 3 to 4 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Minimum of 3 years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
• Fit testing with 3M N95 Model 1860 mask required.
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test (QuantiFERON Gold, TSpot, or 2-step PPD within 6 months) or chest X-ray if prior positive TB
  • Positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (declination accepted only with low titer and facility form)
• 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant drug screens not accepted).
• Annual flu vaccination required during flu season (October to May); medical or religious exemptions must be approved by the facility.
• Annual COVID-19 vaccination required or approved exemption.

Background and Compliance

• Standard background check including 7-year residential/work/school history, sex offender registry, and other federal/state checks.
• CORI release required.
• State-specific Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry search required.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks must be completed annually.

Additional Requirements

• Facility-specific documents including emergency contact form, photo for badge (headshot with grey background), and acknowledgment of pass/fail testing.
• Scrub color is flexible; scrubs provided for OR if applicable.
• Annual skills checklist required.
• Candidates must complete facility-specific TB questionnaire if applicable.
• Flu and COVID exemption forms must be completed and approved if applicable.
