Position Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Floating: No floating expected
• Weekend Requirement: Typically one full weekend per 4 weeks, subject to department needs
• Patient Ratio (Day): 1 Social Worker to 25 patients

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of acute medical Social Work experience
• Experience must include both social work and discharge planning roles
• Prior travel experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted but must be screened)

Licensure & Certifications

• California state Social Work license required
• Pending license accepted only if licensed by start date

Required Qualifications

• Valid Master of Social Work license in California
• Master of Social Work with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Experience in Master of Social Work within the last year
• Social Worker experience

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Social Security Card (as applicable)
• Background Check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
• Education Verification (degree related to Social Work)
• Employment Application including at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format
• Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
• Immunizations and Health Requirements:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
  • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred; declinations allowed with adherence to infection prevention policies
• Drug Screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant tests acceptable)
• Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required for travel candidates, medically cleared annually for respirator use
• Fit Mask Testing: Required for travel candidates, updated annually (may be completed onsite)
• Annual Regulatory and Specialty-Specific Training Modules via LMS (Workramp) required

Additional Requirements

• Skills Checklist: Required for applicable units, updated annually
• Competency Exams: As applicable by profession/specialty
• Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required
• No more than 7 days of Return to Office (RTO) restrictions
