Step Down Nurse

Job Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Montrose, Pennsylvania
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Start date must be no later than August 3, 2026
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

• Provide care for Step Down and Med-Surg Telemetry patients
• Float between the Step Down Unit and Med-Surg Telemetry Unit as needed
• Serve as Charge Nurse when required
• Administer and titrate cardiac and insulin drips

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Stepdown experience: 1 year of experience
• Stepdown experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience in Charge roles
• Driver's License
• Proficient in Foley catheter insertion
• Proficient in managing potassium runs
• Proficient in using and interpreting cardiac monitors

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS
• Experience in Step Down, IMC, or Telemetry

• Average daily census: 12 patients
