Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (IMC/PCU) - Oklahoma City, OK
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (IMC/PCU)

- Contract Length: 12 weeks
- Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts
- Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Total Staffed Beds: 24
- Average Daily Census: 24
- Charting System: Epic
Experience Requirements
- Years of Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Critical Care or Telemetry
- Prior Travel Experience: 1 year of travel experience required (first-time travelers NOT accepted)
- Additional Experience: Current Critical Care and Telemetry experience required
Certifications & Licenses Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- EKG Course / Telemetry Test
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
- Current RN State License (no pending licenses accepted)
Work & Scheduling Details
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
- Floating to sister facilities is required
- No block scheduling accommodations
- Local radius rule: Candidate’s address must be greater than 75 miles from the contracted facility
- No locals accepted
- Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: No more than 5 days allowed
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License or State-issued ID
- Utility bill in candidate’s name with matching address within the last 3 months (address must be >75 miles from facility)
- Background checks including 7-year criminal background, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC Sanctions List
- Education verification (transcript/diploma)
- Physical exam within 1 year stating good health and no physical limitations
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Immunizations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Hepatitis A (if applicable), Flu vaccine (seasonal requirement)
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen including marijuana (required within 30 days prior to start)
- Fit mask testing (completed onsite)
- Various competency exams including medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG, core parts I-III, conscious sedation, and others as applicable
- Facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgments (HIPAA, OSHA, Code of Ethical Business Conduct, Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy, etc.)
- References: Two former direct supervisor references required (one within 1 year, one within 3 years)
- Work history verification covering 10 years including international positions
Additional Notes
- Candidates must have current certifications and licenses verified within 30 days prior to start
- EPIC training required if no EPIC experience within last 6 months (class scheduled onsite)
- Fit testing for N95 masks completed onsite on first day
- Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and complete required acknowledgments prior to start
This position is ideal for experienced travel RNs with critical care and telemetry backgrounds who meet the certification and compliance requirements and are willing to work night shifts in a progressive care setting.
