Position Details
- Specialty: Xray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
- Location: Rochester, New York
- Facility Type: Tertiary Care Hospital
- Beds: 528 staffed beds
- Shift: 4x10 hours, Wednesday - Saturday, 9:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekend Requirements: Included in the shift block
- On Call: None
- Flex Agency: Allowed 3 times during contract
- Locals: Must live more than 75 miles away
- First Time Travelers: Accepted
- Charting System: Epic
- Scrub Color: Any combination of navy and white
Required Credentials & Certifications
- Government Issued Photo ID: Driver’s License or State ID
- Background Checks:
- 7-year criminal background check (felony checks)
- SSN Trace, National Criminal, National Sex Offender
- Education verification from primary source (no hard copy degrees)
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (within 3 months of start, monthly updates)
- Foreign equivalency education evaluation if applicable
- Certifications:
- ACLS (AHA Provider/Instructor/RQI)
- BLS (AHA Provider/Instructor/RQI)
- PALS (AHA Provider/Instructor/RQI) as required
- NRP, TNCC, EFM as required by unit
- National Tech Certification verification (within 30 days of start)
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
- State License primary source verification (within 30 days of start)
- NURSYS verification for RN, LPN/LVN, AP (within 30 days)
- NIH Stroke Certification as required (annual update)
- Competencies:
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as required
- Color Blind Testing (one-time)
- Competency Exam as required by specialty
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Fit Mask: Required annually (specific acceptable masks listed)
- TB Testing: Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; TB questionnaire accepted in lieu of annual renewal
- Immunizations:
- Rubeola (Measles): Positive titer or 2 vaccines (age exemption if born before 1957)
- Mumps: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (age exemption if born before 1957)
- Rubella: Positive titer or 1 MMR/Rubella vaccine (age exemption if born before 1957)
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, completed series, or declination (additional requirements for dialysis)
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history
- Drug Testing: Required within 30 days of start (includes amphetamines, cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, opiates, etc.)
- Flu Vaccination: Required or signed declination during flu season (documentation deadline December 3)
- Eye Exam: Snellen exam within 1 year of start (not annual)
- COVID: Vaccination copy preferred but not required
