Medical Surgical Nurse
Location
- Wilmington, North Carolina
Assignment Type
- Travel/Contract
Schedule
- Day shift
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- 1:5–6 patient ratio
- 12–16 weekend shifts per contract
- Float required
- Manager schedules
- Blocked scheduling may be accommodated depending on request
- 7 days maximum RTO; no RTO otherwise
Contract Length
- 13–26 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
- Neuro experience preferred
- NIH certification preferred
Clinical Focus
- Neuro surgical procedures and neuro diagnoses
Unit Details
- Pyxis
- SBAR
- EPIC
- 2 unit orientation shifts after hospital orientation
- Navy scrubs
Additional Expectations
- May be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team coverage
- May be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters
- May be preassigned to units as needed
