Emergency Room Nurse

Location

Manchester, New Hampshire

Contract

13 weeks
Travel/contract role
36 hours per week
Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Every other weekend required
No call

Setting

Fast-paced emergency department with a strong pediatric presence
Average daily census: 70
36 rooms
50 beds
Floating expectations, including helping hands/team nursing support and possible float to ICU and ED for support tasks
Patient sitting may be required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Hampshire
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Required Certifications

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)

Preferred

Pediatric experience

Procedures and Patient Types

Conscious sedation
Trauma alerts/activations
Stroke alerts
Cath lab activation
SANE consultation
Care across the lifespan, including minor injuries, fractures, abdominal pain, chest pain, respiratory concerns, oncologic emergencies, neurological emergencies, trauma, psychiatric emergencies, abuse/assault/neglect evaluations, substance use disorder, GI/GU/OB, and sepsis

Additional Notes

Any color scrubs allowed
Former employees of the associated health system are not considered for this assignment
