ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 18 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule Notes: Rotating shifts or straight nights may be possible

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Completion of required competency exams
• 2 professional references within the last 3 years
• Skills checklist
• Negative 15-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• TB clearance within 1 year of start
• Pennsylvania child abuse search
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprint results
• Background check within 30 days of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
• Government-issued photo ID
• Emergency contact form before start

Health Documentation

• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation
• Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or signed declination
• Flu vaccination or documentation during flu season

Pre-Start Documents and Training

• Photo for badge
• Orientation checklist
• Pandemic attestation
• Code of conduct
• Confidentiality agreement
• Disclosure statement
• Net learning post-test and answer sheet
• Signed job description
• Patient policy, interdisciplinary care, skin integrity, mobility, and catheter training
• Cardiac procedure education binder review
• Competency assessment for telemetry-unit RNs/LVNs/LPNs

Additional Notes

• Workplace violence prevention training is completed onsite for applicable units
