Job Overview

• Location: Beaufort, South Carolina
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Hours per week: 36
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

• Stepdown role that frequently floats to ICU and MedSurg units
• Floating is required across Stepdown, ICU, and MedSurg
• Candidate must be comfortable working in both Stepdown and ICU settings
• EOW required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
• Med Surg experience
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association

Additional Details

• Travel experience is preferred
• Ratios: Stepdown 1:4–5, ICU 1:2, MedSurg 1:5–6
• Unit has 21 beds
• Non-titrating drips used
• Common patient care includes cardiac, vascular, CIWA, peritoneal dialysis, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, home ventilators, wound care, nebulizers, and hemodialysis in the dialysis department
• Scrubs: royal blue and white
• Orientation occurs every Wednesday
• EMR: Meditech
