MS/Tele Float

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Castro Valley, California.
• Float pool assignment that will float to multiple MS/Tele and MS units within scope of practice at Eden Medical Center.
• 13-week contract.
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN license
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• 2 years of float experience
• Float experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Additional Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start.
• Sex Offender Search required within 90 days of start.
• FACIS Level 3 search required within 2 weeks of start, then monthly after start.
• California Medi-Cal Search Result is required if FACIS III cannot be run monthly.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM required.
• HHS/OIG required.
• Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with city and state, with no gaps.
• Work history verification must cover up to 7 years and explain any gaps over 30 days.
• Unit-specific skills checklist required.
• References are required by the agency: 2 professional references for clinical candidates.
• Drug screen: negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start.
• TB screening documentation required within 90 days of start.
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start.
• Fit test required within 1 year of start and must be renewed annually.
• Tdap required within 10 years of start.
• Flu vaccination or approved declination required during flu season.
• Color blindness exam required if applicable and must be completed in person before start.
• Candidate must review and sign facility-required documents prior to start.
