Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Temp - Long Term Care (LTC)

Location: Moore, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8

Job Description

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Perform manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices as part of the rehabilitation plan.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly.
• Report treatment outcomes and provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
• Document all required clinical and regulatory information accurately in the electronic documentation system.
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings or in-services.
• Support and supervise students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies.
• Adhere to APTA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Oklahoma.
• Minimum of 1 year of PTA experience.
• Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation settings.
• New graduates considered if they have completed Level II clinical experience (beyond Level I observation).

Additional Requirements

• Resume submission required.
• Skills checklist dated within the last year required.
• 0-1 professional reference required at time of submission.
