Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room (Travel)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: Every Other Week (EOW), Every Other Holiday (EOH)
• Experience required:

  • Minimum 3 years of specialty experience and previous travel experience, or
  • More than 5 years of experience in a large Emergency Department (ED) with no travel experience
• EPIC electronic health record system experience required
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles if needed

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• PALS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• NIH Certification
• Ascension MOAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior)
• Ascension Epic Test-Out (EPIC training and test)
• Current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• License/Certificate Verification within 30 days prior to start
• Driver's License/State ID (must be valid and match address requirements)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• Varicella: Proof of immunity or two doses of vaccine (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• TB Testing: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Fit Test: Required annually (preferred prior to start)
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA within 90 days of start
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually

Additional Requirements

• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics) completed within a year of start, updated yearly
• Ascension Color Vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years
• Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding completed onsite
• Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation
• Ascension Nova StatStrip training
• Ascension Skills Checklist completed within one year of start, updated annually
• Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry within 30 days of assignment
• Employment Verification for past 7 years
• Education Verification within 90 days of start
• Confirmation of Assignment documentation
• Ascension EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days of start
• Ascension Badge Photo (headshot with white or blue background)

Experience & Travel Requirements

• Specialty years of experience required: 5 years (higher of the two options)
• Prior travel experience: Required (minimum 3 years specialty + previous travel experience or 5+ years specialty with no travel experience)

Notes

• Must be able to complete all required certifications, health screenings, and onboarding prior to or at the start of the assignment
• Floating to other sites within 40 miles may be required based on staffing needs
