Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Job Description

• Must hold a Wisconsin Respiratory Therapist license prior to start date.
• Current critical care experience required or experience within the last 12 months.
• Ability to manage a heavy workload.
• Travel experience required.
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to nearby sites within 40 miles.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred.
• Certifications required: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) is optional.
• Work schedule includes every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Prior travel experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

• Prior travel experience is required.

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

Professional Credentials

• Resume/Profile submission required.
• At least two professional references required prior to first assignment.
• Signed assignment agreement required upon onboarding.
• Completion of respiratory therapy contract worker onboarding and education attestation.
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and EPLS within 90 days of start.
• Employment verification for the past seven years.
• Confirmation of assignment documentation required for initial and extended assignments.
• Driver’s license or state ID (valid, unexpired, matching address requirements).

Certifications & Exams

• BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA) required prior to start.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is optional.
• Ascension Core Competencies completed within one year and updated every 3 years (minimum 80% passing score).
• Specialty exam completed prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years (minimum 80% passing score).
• Skills checklist completed within one year and updated annually.

Health & Immunizations

• Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted).
• Documented proof of two Varicella vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history (no declinations accepted).
• Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
• Influenza vaccine is optional; if declined during flu season, mask wearing is required.
• Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
• Fit test for respiratory protection required annually (preferred before start, can be completed onsite).
• Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes; if positive, chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire required.
• Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
• Color vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years.
• 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter.
