Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - 24/7 AD/DIP

Location: Rochester, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel Nursing (Clinical-Nursing-Travel)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating nursing care, including:

  • Direct patient care
  • Patient and family education
  • Transitions of care

The RN supports professional nursing practice across various settings and the continuum of care to meet patient and family needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients
  • Providing leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts
  • Delegating patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability
  • Participating in committees or projects as needed

Requirements

Education & Licensure

  • Graduate or student of an accredited baccalaureate, associate, or diploma nursing program recognized by ACEN or CCNE
  • If graduated from a non-accredited program, at least 1 year of RN experience in an applicable care setting within the last 5 years is required
  • If graduation occurred more than 2 years ago, 1 year of RN experience in an applicable care setting is required
  • Current RN license valid in the state of Minnesota
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required (must not expire within 3 months after start date)
  • Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in an applicable care setting (based on education requirements)
  • No explicit mention of prior travel experience required

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to mentor and teach
  • Leadership capabilities in clinical and quality improvement settings

This position follows the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice and the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model.

Get to work with a wide variety of patients. case load is managed well.

Cons

parking is awful, having to pay 70+ a month to walk 6 blocks is not ideal. or having to add an hour to your work day for bussing.
