Schedule

• Monday–Friday, varying shifts from 7:00am–5:00pm
• No weekends or call

Required Qualifications

• Echo Technologist with 3 years of experience
• Echo Technologist experience within the last year
• RDCS or RCS
• BLS
• Associates degree
• 3 years of cardiac sonography experience
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• Cardiac hemodynamics knowledge
• PISA quantification experience
• Strain imaging experience
• Definity contrast studies experience
• Optison contrast studies experience
• Bubble studies using agitated saline experience
• Ability to scan a full echocardiogram and report in 75 minutes
• Scanning cardiac abnormalities proficiency

• Inpatient and outpatient echocardiography

• Pediatric echocardiography for patients 5 years old and older
• Definity studies
• Optison studies

• Transesophageal echocardiography
• Stress echocardiography
• Outreach services

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complete echocardiographic studies and document findings accurately
• Work independently using critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Collaborate with physicians and other team members
• Assist with orientation, training, and education of trainees, students, and visitors
• Support stress lab and stress echo lab procedures
• Provide care across neonate to geriatric patient populations
• Follow sterile procedures, isolation precautions, and safety practices
• Maintain proficiency in required competencies
• Communicate effectively in speaking and writing
• Meet physical demands including frequent walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulder level, twisting, and turning

Additional Notes

• Must be able to hear ordinary conversation and have good visual acuity
• Experience with cardiac abnormalities, quick learning, adaptability, and completing a full echo and report in 75 minutes is noted in the source
