Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Neurology
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Job Description
Provide nursing care under general supervision to patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex in an ICU Neurology setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments.
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor and obtain physiological data, observe patient conditions, and intervene as necessary.
- Administer medications, regulate and monitor IV infusions and blood products.
- Communicate care plans to patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge.
- Make referrals for patient care needs and delegate tasks to support staff.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Neuro ICU nursing experience within the last year, including neurology experience.
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

- General nursing duties and other assigned responsibilities as needed.
