Prepare patients for the operating room (OR) or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to OR transfer
Assist with patient recovery from the OR/PACU
Basic skills required:
- IV insertion
- Medication administration and management for recovering patients
- Foley catheter removal
- Providing discharge instructions
- Critical thinking in patient care
ACLS certification is not required as patients are not monitored continuously in this area
