Registered Nurse - OR

Location: Newark, Delaware
Employment Type: Long Term Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours/week

Job Description

• Overnight Charge Nurse position in the Operating Room (OR)
• Responsible for both scrubbing and circulating during cases (no exceptions)
• Will take charge nurse responsibilities
• Work schedule includes every Friday through Sunday (weekends required)
• Every other Sunday, the nurse will work in a staff role (not charge)
• No block scheduling allowed
• Float to other areas within acuity as needed
• No call or holiday requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Delaware
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• One completed travel nursing assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in charge nurse roles
• Ability to scrub and circulate in the OR

Additional Information

• Submission requires RN license number and expiration date, list of certifications with expiration dates, and other standard compliance documents
• Interviews include a Voice Advantage interview and a Nurse Manager screening/interview
• Start dates available weekly on Tuesdays
• Compliance process typically takes 4-6 weeks to complete
