Job Opportunity: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility Overview

• 355-bed acute hospital with multiple specialty centers including Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, Women’s Center, and Level 3 NICU
• Includes a 32-bed Emergency Department, 29-bed inpatient rehab, 15-bed surgical suite & imaging, and an 81-bed adult Behavioral Health Hospital

Work Schedule

• 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
• Average 5-15 cases per day

Job Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
• Document patient care provided
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and families
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
• Collaborate across disciplines for patient care coordination including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support
• Evaluate and provide patient/family education tailored to age, culture, and condition
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current RN license in North Carolina
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within 6 months of hire
• 2+ years of experience in nursing specialty (Cardiac Cath Lab) (Note: higher experience requirement applied)
• Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) certification preferred

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
