Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work on an Acute Care Med/Surg unit with 34 beds
• Patient population includes geriatric, adults, and occasional pediatrics (travelers not assigned to pediatrics)
• Patient ratio approximately 6:1
• Equipment used includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, telemetry monitors, etc.
• Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
• Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
• Weekend work required occasionally (same shift hours)
• Call required only when down staffed or placed on call
• Float requirements: may be asked to care for inpatient holds
• Unit type: telemetry, surgical, general medical patients
• Dress code: scrubs of any color, closed-toed shoes only

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
• More than 1 year of total travel nursing experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Healthcare experience required

• Must be able to work occasional weekends and be available for call when needed
