Unit Information

Level III Unit
Patient population primarily adults with some pediatrics
Focus on individualized nursing care for adult/geriatric patients
The unit practices according to standards of nursing for adult/geriatric patients

Required Certifications & Licenses

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Missouri
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience, with experience within the last year
Pediatric Med Surg nursing experience

Skills & Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care
Utilize theoretical nursing concepts in clinical decision-making
Provide care consistent with standards of nursing practice

Dress Code

Scrub Color: Black

Additional Information

The facility is a Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke and STEMI Center
