Unit Information

Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Beds: 12 L&D, 8 triage, 11 antepartum
Staff: 72 total
- Day shift: 1 charge nurse, 12 RNs, 1-2 techs, 1 secretary
- Night shift: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 1 tech
Patient Ratios:
- L&D: 1:2
- Triage: 1:3-4
- Antepartum: 1:4
Equipment: Centricity, GE monitors
EMR system: Meditech

Typical Procedures

Vaginal and C-section deliveries
Dilation & curettage (D&C)
Hysterectomy
Postpartum tubal ligation
Cerclage placement
External cephalic versions
High-risk obstetrics cases

Required Qualifications

Valid Surgical Technician license in Colorado (DORA)
Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or NBSTSA certification
Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technician experience within the last year
BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

Prior travel experience
PACU experience

Work Schedule

Approximately 36 hours per week
