Position Details
- Specialty: RN (CVICU focus)
- Unit: CVICU (8 beds)
- Patient Population: Adult/Geriatric
- Shift: Not specified
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend or as needed
- Call Requirements: No on-call
- Patient Ratios: Typically 2:1, occasionally 1:1
- Equipment: Impella, IABP, CRRT
- EHR System: Cerner
- Trauma Level: 3
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (CVICU)
- Must have 1 year CVICU experience after orientation
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Certifications & Education
- Registered Nurse License required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- CCRN preferred
- NIH Certification required
- Minimum education: Associate Nursing Degree
Additional Information
- Specialty focus includes care for patients with CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and Carotids
- Float requirements per scheduled rotation
- Dress code: professional scrubs of any color
