Registered Nurse (RN) – LTC/SNF

Location: Indianola, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in a Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting.
• Patient population includes individuals with hypertension, diabetes, and those needing assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and transfers.
• Facility has approximately 115 beds.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is about 1:40, supported by medication aides for pill administration.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: PointClickCare (PCC).
• Weekend work required every other weekend.
• Holiday shifts rotate every other holiday annually.
• Orientation is location-specific and tailored to the individual.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Long Term Care, including experience within the last year.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing and Post Acute care settings.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Additional Information

• No on-call or call-back responsibilities.
• Guarantee of 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.
• Local placements within an 80-mile radius.
• Weekend and holiday work required on a rotating basis.
