• Nights, 12-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• EFM competency
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; 2 or more years preferred
• Experience in L&D, postpartum, and level 2 nursery

Unit Details

• Obstetrics unit with antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and level 2 nursery patients
• Traveler may also work antepartum and postpartum
• No scrub or circulate duties for C-sections
• 7 beds with 1 overflow room
• Uses AWHONN staffing guidelines based on patient acuity
• May float to other departments during COVID surge
• Rotation with permanent staff

Orientation

• 2 to 3 days of orientation
• On-unit learning
• Orientation includes 12-hour shifts

Additional Notes

• Drug screen required
• Time off requests must be known before the contract is established
• Scrubs are provided
