Job Opportunity: Pediatric/Neonatal Respiratory Therapist

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Specialty

• Pediatric & Neonatal Respiratory Therapist (Peds/Neo RT)
• Preferred credential: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications for NICU

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in PICU and/or Level III or greater NICU
• No explicit prior travel experience required

Work Setting

• Unit: NICU or PICU
• Patient population: Pediatrics and Neonates
• Respiratory care includes all aspects such as aerogen, Volara, cough assist, IPV, NAVA, Hamilton and Servo ventilators, airway management, and intrahospital transport
• RTs assist with intubation but do not intubate independently

Schedule & Shifts

• Preference scheduling allowed with commitment to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (weekends include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
• 3x12 hour night shifts orientation
• Holidays scheduled as needed
• No call or standby call required
• No floating required

Staffing & Environment

• Typically staffed with 8 RTs per shift
• Hospitalist or Intensivist present in-house
• Department-specific orientation provided, length depends on prior experience

Equipment Used

• Ventilators: Hamilton and Servo
• BiPAP: Respironics & Hamilton
• High Flow Nasal Cannula: Fisher Paykel

Dress Code

• Stone/light gray scrub color
