Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Georgia

Location

• City: Thomasville, Georgia

Assignment Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 or 1:7 (experience with higher ratios required)
• Scheduling: Every Other Week (EOW) with block scheduling considered
• Start Date: Approximately 3 weeks from offer
• Minimal to no Return to Office (RTO) required

Unit and Specialty

• Unit: Oncology Floor (MedSurg)
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Nursing
• Oncology experience highly preferred
• Telemetry skills required
• IV Start skills required

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Previous travel experience preferred (not required)

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Telemetry competency
• ACLS may be required depending on specialty/unit (refer to employer for confirmation)

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Systems

• Experience with Cerner and Soarian preferred

Dress Code

• Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided)

Required Documentation and Compliance

• Proof of I-9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID (color copy required)
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Education verification (diploma or transcript accepted)
• NURSYS license verification (for RNs)
• Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• TB testing: QGold or TSPOT within 30 days of start (no PPDs accepted)
• TB questionnaire within 30 days of start
• Immunizations or positive titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (or declination forms as applicable)
• Annual flu vaccination required during flu season unless approved medical/religious exemption
• Fit test for masks completed onsite at no cost
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency
• Facility-specific health and safety training modules must be completed prior to start date
• Photo for badge: passport-style, shoulders up, plain background, no selfies, jpeg format, submitted within 24 hours of signing

References and Evaluations

• Two recent supervisor/manager level references verified within 12 months (charge RN references accepted but not preferred)
• Performance and internal evaluations required if previously worked with the employer over 1 year

License Requirement

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia with primary source verification
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
