Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Shift: Four 10-hour shifts (10:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
  • Call Requirements: One 12-hour shift per month on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday), either 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month)
  • Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 5 days off with no more than 2 consecutive days; no time off allowed on or adjacent to holidays or weekends
  • Floating: Mandatory floating within scope of practice as needed by the facility
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in the Operating Room (OR)
  • At least 1 year of trauma experience, with trauma experience within the last year
  • Strong scrub and circulate skills
  • Experience in Orthopedics, Vascular Surgery, Urology, and General Surgery
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

  • Background checks covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years

  • Compliance with facility-specific forms and rules of behavior
