Location: Pocatello, Idaho
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 7:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratio: 1:7
- Specialty: Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health
- Required Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
Job Responsibilities
- Apply the Nursing Process for patients across all age groups: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
- Thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
- Manage healthcare resources responsibly
- Maintain and develop clinical competencies and professional growth for self and others
- Deliver patient care using theoretical knowledge and practical skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 1 year of Pediatric Behavioral Health experience, with experience within the last year
- Behavioral Health experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID
- I-9 verification and E-Verify compliance
- Background check covering 7 years of history, including SS trace, county, nationwide, sex offender, and education verification
- Education verification confirming highest level attained
- Physical exam within 12 months of start date
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start date, renewed annually
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series (or declination)
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Annual unit-specific skills checklist
- Work history verification for the past 7 years
