Registered Nurse — Emergency Department

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in San Francisco, California
  • 13-week assignment
  • Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Weekend rotation required
  • No on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in California
  • ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Role Highlights

  • Provides direct nursing care in the ED
  • Performs clinical procedures including IVs, Foley catheter care, and dressings
  • Documents assessments thoroughly and accurately
  • Supports patient and family education
  • Uses tele monitoring, IV, ventilator, and safe medication administration practices
  • Recognizes changes in patient condition and reports errors or near misses
  • Works independently and collaboratively, with initiative and follow-up
